The Center for Adult Education of the Northwest, based in Caravaca de la Cruz, holds open houses during the week to publicize its educational offer, coinciding with the opening of the period of admission of enrollment for the course 2018/2019.
The conference was inaugurated by the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Moreno, and the general director of Vocational Training and Special Education Teaching, Sergio López, accompanied by the center's director, Antonia María Olmo, as well as the faculty and a representation of the students who are currently studying adult education, coming from the municipalities of Caravaca, Cehegín, Moratalla and Calasparra.
During the inauguration, both the mayor and the director of the Center for Adult Education of the Northwest have transferred to the representatives of the Ministry of Education the need to expand the current facilities in order to deal with space problems and centralize all the educational offer in one place.
"From the Technical Office of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz drafted a project to build an annex building-equipped with four classrooms, toilets and other dependencies, which we consider a priority that is carried out in order to strengthen and consolidate education Adults in the Northwest ', as reported by the mayor, who has also pointed out that "in this reference teaching center for the entire Region have materialized numerous stories of personal and professional development that are their best flag."
Formative offer of the Northwest Adult Center
The Center for Adult Education of the Northwest (CEPA Noroeste) has a wide range of services, which is materialized in different courses of initial education, Basic Vocational Training (Hairdressing and Aesthetics, Cooking and Restoration and Vehicle Maintenance), Compulsory Secondary Education, Education Compulsory Secondary Education at a distance, preparation for entrance exams to Vocational Training courses of Higher Degree, preparation for entrance exams to the University, English, preparation for the tests of English A2 and B1, courses of information and communication technologies and project 'Aula Mentor' with more than 100 online course.
The purpose of adult education is to offer all people the possibility of acquiring, updating, completing or expanding their knowledge and aptitudes for their personal and professional development, through formal and non-formal education, taught on a face-to-face basis and at a distance.
Those over 18 years of age and those who reach this age in the year in which the course begins can access Adult Education.
Most of the formal and non-formal education offered in the face-to-face system offered in the Murcia Region for adults is taught exclusively in the 17 adult education centers, and in its hundreds of displaced dealers distributed throughout the Region.
