The literary youth phenomenon known as Blue Jeans will present its latest novel on May 23
The Caravaca de la Cruz Book Fair is held from May 17 to June 3, wrapped around thirty acts, including book presentations, signature author, storytelling and other activities related to the promotion of reading and promotion of literature.
The present edition of the Book Fair has been presented by the Councilor for Culture and Celebrations, Óscar Martínez, who highlighted the leading role this year plays in the children's programming and the important and varied presence of publishers and authors who will congregate in the Plaza San Juan de la Cruz, usual place to celebrate this event.
The person in charge of the Culture area was accompanied by the municipal librarian, Juan Antonio Martínez Piqueras, and by Juani Marín and María Soledad Giménez, representing the different bookshops and participating publishers.
Urbano Libros, from Granada, will participate in the booths of the fair;
the local bookstores Cervantes and Endrino;
Librería Librillos, of Cehegín, as well as the publishers Raspabook, Gollarín, Alfaqueque and Dokusou and Taller de Prensa Comunicación.
It will remain open to the public until June 3, from 11.00 to 13.30 and from 18.00 to 22.00.
Within the Caravaca de la Cruz Book Fair, the youth literary phenomenon of recent years known as 'Blue Jeans', will present its latest editorial novelty, 'The invisible girl', on Wednesday, May 23, at 6:00 p.m. at the House of Culture 'Emilio Sáez' and at 8:00 pm, will sign copies at the fair.
Also, among the planned activities, is the signature of the writers caravaqueños Luis Leante (Friday, May 18, at 8:00 pm) and Jesus Lopez (Monday, May 21, at 12:00), both in the San Juan de la Cruz Square
On May 31, at 8:00 pm at the Casa de la Cultura, the presentation of the book 'Letters to Mercedes', by Miguel Espinosa, will be made by Ángel Montiel and Fernando Fernández Villa.
But the activities will begin before, with parades and storytelling featuring the favorite characters of the youngest.
Another of the activities programmed by the Municipal Library for this Book Fair is the exhibition '100 years of TBO', which will take place at the Casa de la Cultura from June 1 to 10 and will be accompanied by a lecture about the Caravaqueño artist Juan Martínez Buendía 'Tinez', in charge of Francisco Fernández, responsible for the Municipal Historical Archive, on June 2, at 8:00 p.m.
