The Councilor for Public Services and Pedanías of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, Jesus Sanchez, visited the works that are being undertaken in 'La Fuente de Navares' and 'Camino de la Cabezuela', two of the actions included in the first phase of road improvement plan of the Rural Development Program.
The works consist of the replacement and reinforcement of the road surface, as well as drainage improvements and road safety.
In addition, within this first phase of the plan to improve rural roads, the well-known routes like 'Corral de en medio' and 'La Fuente' will be arranged, as recalled by Councilman Jesús Sánchez, accompanied by the pedápan of Navares, Suli Marín .
Improvement projects in these four roads of the municipality are framed in the call for aid of the Rural Development Program 2014-2020, co-financed by EAFRD funds by 63 percent, of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment in a 11.10 percent and of the Autonomous Community in a 25'90 percent.
These actions were requested by the City of Caravaca de la Cruz and will enable better access to farms and livestock in the area of ​​Barranda, Singla, Navares and Caneja.
