The 2018 edition of the Caravaca festival 'Vaca Pop' is held from June 1 to 16 with three free access concerts, which were presented by the mayor of Caravaca della Cruz, José Moreno, and the councilman of Culture in the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, Ă“scar Martínez, along with members of the 'Vaca Pop' association, Bryn Slack, Mateo Marti and Antonio Fructuoso.
The beginning of the 'Vaca Pop' 2018 will be marked by the concert-presentation, programmed in the pub 'La Nota', for Friday June 1, at 23.45, with the performances of the new group from Caravaca led by the singer and musician ' Beteta 'and' Doctor Voltaje ', a Valencian rock and roll band composed of five experienced musicians from the Spanish underground circuit.
The Plaza del Arco will be the framework of the two main concerts.
On Saturday, June 9, at 22.30, it will be the turn of Austin Slack from Caravaca, presenting his album, and from the legendary rock band from Madrid, "Burning", which is celebrating its 40th anniversary on the stage and will sound his most popular songs like 'Jim Dynamite', 'This is a holdup', 'Dry Geneva', 'Move your hips' or 'What does a girl like you do in a place like this?'
and some more recent ones, such as 'Todo a cien', 'Beia Azul' or the song that gives title to the 'Run with me' tour.
On Saturday, June 16, the concerts will feature two leading female bands, 'Las Bravas' and their 'punk-rock-yeyé de apartamento' and the Castellón group with the Valencian singer 'Ruth Baker Band', with their fusion songs from the rock soul styles.
The concerts of the fifth edition of the 'Vaca Pop' are organized by the association that bears the name of this festival and the City of Caravaca de la Cruz.
It counts among its sponsors with Reina and Estrella Levante Desserts and with the support of different local companies.
