Nearly one hundred students of the public school Cervantes have developed during the current academic year the project 'Embarka' for the promotion of entrepreneurial culture from an early age.
The 4th and 6th Primary students who have participated in this educational program have created school cooperatives in the classroom and sold the products produced in their respective companies on the weekly market.
The money collected will go to different non-profit organizations supporting children.
The mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Moreno, and the councilor responsible for the area of ​​Commerce, Gloria Gómez, visited today the 'mini-market' installed in the Plaza San Juan de la Cruz, accompanied by the director of the center, María Sánchez, and by the teachers who have been involved in the 'Embarka' program.
The mayor congratulated the Cervantes school for joining this initiative in which schools from throughout the Region of Murcia participate because "knowing first-hand the functioning and the decisions that are adopted in a democratic way in a cooperative values ​​and skills are promoted as the teamwork, responsibility or creativity, among many others ".
