The municipalities of Caravaca de la Cruz and Cehegín participate jointly in the program 'Soy Monitor', promoted by the General Directorate of Youth of the Region of Murcia.
This initiative will allow young people to access the course for obtaining the official title of Leisure Monitor and Free Time with a tuition at a reduced price.
The general objective of the 'Soy Monitor' program is to promote this qualification within the field of education, encouraging participation and access by young people to quality training that opens up new professional opportunities.
In this way, students will learn resources to direct socio-cultural and recreational activities, of special interest for children and youth, both in the urban environment and in nature
The planned course in Caravaca and Cehegín has a total duration of 250 hours (160 theoretical and 90 hours of practice), taught in intensive format.
The dates of the same are from July 6 to July 31, with a weekend camp included in these dates.
Once the theoretical part is completed, there will be internships in different activities of animation and free time in both municipalities. The schedule will be from Monday to Friday, morning and afternoon (9-14h and 16 to 20h), and will be done according to the week in the Young Center of Caravaca and the Young Space of Cehegín.
The price of registration per student is 90 euros (the average cost of this course used to be between 160 and 250 euros, but thanks to the municipal contribution and the regional subsidy the price is cheaper).
The training school responsible for impartirel course is 'El Molino Formación'.
The number of places is 16 per municipality, with two free for young people enrolled in the Youth Guarantee program.
