The 'Do not surrender ever' plan, launched by the ONCE Foundation through its entity for training and employment 'Inserta', will be in Caravaca de la Cruz next 10, 11 and 12 September, within its journey through 15 autonomous communities and 78 Spanish towns.
This initiative aims to promote employment among the group of young people with disabilities.
In the project 'Roadshow: Do not give up ever' can participate all those people with disabilities and unemployed, who have an age between 16 and 29 years.
The activities will be carried out in a mobile unit installed at the bus stop on Avenida de Los Andenes-Gregorio Sánchez Romero, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m., on the days indicated.
The inscriptions are made through the web www.noterindasnunca.org.
Enrollees can participate in four types of activities: 'The attitude that drives me' (aimed at understanding one's own attitude from a mental, emotional and bodily perspective, through motivational workshops and theatrical talks), 'Unique and diverse talents' (analysis of the talents of the candidate and their professional positioning), 'The power of a vision' (aimed at generating in the candidate a professional route to five years and helping him identify where he wants to get professionally) and 'Starts the adventure' (to write the curriculum in a way that awakens the interest of companies and load it on the platform of the project 'Roadshow: Do not ever give up').
'Inserta Empleo' has trained -from January 2016 to June 2018- 26,528 students.
More than 19,980 people with disabilities achieved an employment contract thanks to Fundación ONCE and its business group.
Through the signing of agreements, the entity works with more than 90 companies and collaborating entities, among which are companies belonging to the banking, energy, distribution and construction sectors.
This 'roadshow' is part of the operational programs of Social Inclusion and Social Economy (Poises) and Youth Employment (POEJ), which is being developed by Fundación ONCE, with co-financing from the European Social Fund and the Youth Employment Initiative, for increase the training and employment of people with disabilities.
The "Never give up never" roadshow has 4 mobile units that are traveling simultaneously in Spanish territory.
The itinerant information offices are staffed with the necessary areas to inform young people of all the resources available to them to train and respond to the current job demand of companies in our country.
These mobile units have a group space for the development of workshops, as well as a private area for individual interviews and a work area for the registration of candidates.
The latest available data indicates that in Spain there are 1,840,700 people with disabilities, aged between 16 and 64, representing 5.9% of the population (data from ODISMET, Observatory on Disability and Labor Market of the ONCE Foundation).
According to this same source, the unemployment rate of people with disabilities at present (as of June 2018) is 28.6% (185,200 people), 9.1 points higher than that of the population without disabilities.
