The summer concert of the choir 'Arsis' will take place this Sunday, September 9, at 9:00 pm, at the municipal hostel of Fuentes del Marqués, with free access until full capacity is reached.

For this occasion, the Caravaqueña vocal line-up has prepared a program based on pop and rock styles, which includes compositions from the 1950s to the present.

The 'Arsis' choir will offer the audience a modern and dynamic repertoire, very far from what traditional choral groups usually interpret, counted for this with the accompaniment of percussionist Miguel Álvarez Aniorte, on drums, and the pianist and choir director José Alberto Morales Rodríguez

The program will start with one of the most representative gospel of this style, the spiritual song 'Amen', to make way for other animated pieces like 'Can't help falling in love' by Elvis Presley, 'Somebody to love' by Queen or 'They gave us ten' by Joaquín Sabina, among others.

The voices will be directed by José Alberto Rodríguez, from Sanlúcar de Barrameda (Cádiz), who with an intense teaching career and as a conductor of orchestras, currently combines his work as choir director 'Arsis' with that of professor at the Professional Conservatory of Music 'Leandro Martínez Romero' from Caravaca de la Cruz.

The choir 'Arsis' has participated in numerous concerts and regional, national and international festivals since it was created in 1998 by a group of people interested in maintaining and promoting choral singing, bringing it closer to scenarios far from the usual circuits of this genre.

Among his many performances, the participation in the Mass celebrated in the Cathedral of Murcia, on the occasion of the Vera Cruz pilgrimage, and the concerts in La Almudena Cathedral, in Madrid, and in Zaragoza, as well as the representation of ' Follies and enchantments of Don Quixote.

He has also participated in three editions of the 'Choir Encounters at Christmas' in Murcia and is the organizer, together with the Caravaca de la Cruz City Council, of the Meetings of Religious Choral Music.
