A group of Nordic journalists has visited Caravaca de la Cruz to learn about their cultural heritage in a 'press trip' promoted by the Institute of Tourism of the Region of Murcia, with the collaboration of the Department of Tourism of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz .
This journey of familiarization with media professionals will allow Caravaca de la Cruz to be promoted as a tourist destination among more than 370,000 potential readers;
121,000 of them corresponding to the Finnish magazine 'Gloria', which is the support of lifestyle, fashion, beauty, cultural events and trend with more circulation in Finland, and 253,000 to the Danish newspaper 'Jyllands-Posten'.
Also, Caravaca will appear, along with other points of the Region, in the most sold guide in Spain in Denmark and Norway, whose new edition will be published in May 2019.
The Royal Basilica of the True Cross, the church of El Salvador and the House Museum of the Horses of Wine were some of the places visited by journalists from Denmark and Norway, accompanied at all times by guides and the staff of the municipal department of Tourism.
They have also known other destinations in the region, such as the Bullas Wine Route and the cities of Murcia, Cartagena and Lorca.
The Nordic countries are the third European market in importance for the Region, with 49,068 tourists from January to July.
Between the months of January and July, Nordic travelers made an outlay in the Region of 58.3 million euros, a figure that represented a growth of 6.3 percent over 2017.
