The caravaqueño Tomy Ceballos exposes 'Pacific Oceans' in the cloister of the old convent of the Carmelite Mothers.
The inauguration of the exhibition, promoted by the Department of Culture of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, was attended by the mayor, José Moreno, together with family and friends of this versatile and self-taught artist.
Ceballos exposes a collection of 15 works, the vast majority of new creation, made in three dimensions thanks to the use of new technologies and captures from the computer.
The artist changes the objective to be placed "behind the mirror", in allusion to the monitor screen, giving shape to virtual sculptures.
Tomy Ceballos avoids any possible label, be it that of photographer, sculptor or painter: "I like the distinction that Spanish makes between being and being, because I'm just a person, and I'm 'photographer' when I adopt a way of feeling linked I'm not a photographer, I'm something much deeper, I'm not faithful to any concept. "
Tomy Ceballos has a long career in national and international halls and museums since he began his career in the art world in the eighties.
His works have been exhibited in spaces such as the International Contemporary Art Fair of Madrid ARCO, the Reina Sofia National Museum, the Basque Center-Museum of Contemporary Art ARTIUM or Photoespaña.
The exhibition will remain in the old Carmelite convent of the main street until next October 12.
The opening hours are from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
