Among the objectives of the course is to sensitize the population about the concept of deaf and deaf people, spread the Spanish Sign Language in our society and offer communication tools for the elimination of communication barriers between deaf and hearing people.
The Spanish Sign Language is an important asset of our culture, which must be recognized, promoted and disseminated as a communication vehicle for deaf people, both for their vital development, and for their full inclusion and social, political, cultural and economic participation .
Participants in the course will acquire skills to be able to understand and use everyday expressions of frequent use, as well as simple phrases designed to meet immediate needs.
They will also learn to introduce themselves and others, ask for and give basic personal informational about their home, their belongings and the people they know.
