The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, received today at the San Esteban Palace the Sister Major of the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of Vera Cruz de Caravaca, María Carmen López, and members of his new board of directors, with whom he addressed the set of activities that will continue to be promoted by the brotherhood and in collaboration with the regional government, "and that will contribute to taking the name of Caravaca de la Cruz beyond our borders".
This was indicated at the end of this meeting, the Minister of Tourism and Culture, Miriam Guardiola, who stressed that "we will continue to promote tourism in Caravaca de la Cruz," and highlighted the success of the Jubilee Year.
He stressed that "sacred tourism will be further promoted so that all tourists can go to Caravaca as a point of reference for pilgrimage."
Likewise, gastronomic, sports activities, recovery of historical and cultural heritage through the Camino de la Cruz Foundation will be carried out.
Among the cultural activities, the minister highlighted the exhibition 'Mystics' which will open on September 28, "where we will return to two fundamental figures of mysticism such as San Juan de la Cruz and Santa Teresa de la Cruz."
