The City of Caravaca de la Cruz, through its Department of Social Services and Women, opens the registration period in workshops 'Risomemoria and cognitive maintenance', whose sessions are held at the Municipal Center for Employment, Training and Equality, Mondays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
"In this workshop, whose registration is completely free, many beneficial activities are developed for the mental and emotional health of people, such as memory and relaxation techniques, music therapy, ludotherapy and laughter therapy, among others," according to the councilor of Social Services and Women, María José Soria, who has unveiled the success of participation and results of her previous editions.
"It is an activity - Soria added - suitable for any age, and especially for the elderly, which aims to stimulate a positive attitude to life and combat aspects such as stress," they explained.
Those responsible for teaching the workshop are the psycho-pedagogue Salvador Martinez and the therapist Juani de de Maya, with a long experience in this type of personal development and social skills courses.
"We want people to feel good, relaxed, happy in some way, our goal is to get attendees to appreciate the little things, learn to enjoy everyday moments, to share, to tolerate, to empathize and, ultimately , to laugh. "
This new workshop, scheduled to begin on October 1, will consist of twelve sessions, each lasting two hours, plus three subsequent meetings with the group members and with people who have participated in the workshops in other workshops. municipalities of the District of the Northwest and of bordering provinces.
