The 6th edition of the 'Caravaca 10.0' race is held this Sunday, November 11, consolidated as one of the most crowded events in the regional athletic calendar, as it will bring together more than a thousand participants from the different categories, including participation of elite runners.
The test will start at 10.00, leaving and finishing on Avenida de la Constitución, next to the Pedro García Esteller park.
The Councilor for Sports in the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, María José Soria, the president of the Sports Association 'Caravaca 10.0', Sebastián Abril, and the director of one of the two offices of Caixa Bank in Caravaca, Francisco Gabarrón, have released the details of this new edition of 'Caravaca 10.0', which among its novelties includes a commitment to full inclusion in the sport of people with disabilities, through the collaboration established with the Association of People with Intellectual Disability Northwest (APCOM), whose users will be part of the race and will present their campaign 'Towards the goal'.
The organization of the race also maintains its commitment to the project 'Fair Play', through which students of the secondary schools of the municipality participate in the event as an example of healthy sport among youth.
'Caravaca 10.0' has a circuit approved by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation and is integrated into the league of popular races promoted by the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia 'Running Challenge'.
The test runs entirely on asphalt and hard ground, within the urban area of the city, with refreshment points at the end of the first round and in the middle of the route.
All the kilometric points are marked and a maximum time of 1 hour and 30 minutes is established to cross the finish line.
The organization will improve the hallmarks of the race, with numerous services (cloakroom, showers, raffle of gifts, popular crumbs at the end of the event, departure in time boxes, physiotherapists, etc.).
The top three finishers in each category and the first local runner in the general classification - both male and female - will win a special trophy.
In addition, the appointment will reward again with a cash prize to the first three runners in goal, giving 150 euros to the winner, 100 euros to the second and 50 euros to the third, both in the masculine and feminine section.
If they also manage to beat the record of the race - the 30:35 achieved by Mohamed Boucetta in men or the 36:10 of Yamilka González in women - another 150 euros will be accumulated for that athlete.
All those who reach the finish line will receive the broker's bag with different gifts.
