In the municipality of Caravaca de la Cruz there are more than 90 people who use the home tele-assistance device.
The Councilor for Social Services, María José Soria, along with officials of the company Tunstall Televida, attended a meeting held at the Senior Center of the IMAS in which some of the users who use this service participated.
From Televida explained that the purpose of this annual coexistence day is that users know personally the professionals who serve them daily and engage with other neighbors with their same needs.
The telecare system is provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, from a central office staffed by specifically qualified professionals, able to take care of the needs of the users and / or mobilize the necessary resources in case of social emergency or health
"Home telecare promotes the independence and autonomy of older people inside and outside the home, allowing immediate attention and providing information for any need," as pointed out by Councilwoman Maria Soria, who advanced that the intention of the Department of Services Social is to introduce financial aid in the next municipal budgets to co-finance this service that is currently paid for by the users themselves.
With the aim of improving the quality of life of people who need support in their daily activities, Tunstall Televida has more than 300,000 users throughout the country.
