The Running Challenge 2018/19 continued taking its first steps this Sunday, counting one more year between its initial appointments that would take us to the Holy City.
Caravaca de la Cruz was witness for the 6th time of its 10.0, 2nd round of the popular racing circuit of the Region of Murcia, on a circuit approved by the RFEA with departure and arrival at Avenida de la Constitución.
On the masculine side, the athlete of the UCAM Cartagena Mohamed Katir took the absolute victory and in the subsection sub23, with a time of 31:28 that would suppose to improve his own regional record of the category, surpassing the 31:34 achieved in Murcia on November 26 of last year.
After him, Iván Hernández, of the Mobel Automenor Running Team, senior champion in 32:06, closing the absolute podium Alejandro Abellaneda, of the JA Sabadell, 2nd sub23 in 32:54.
In the women's section, the athlete of CA Nogalte - Puerto Lumbreras Wafiya Benali Home, 1st F35, finished the distance at 35:54, followed by the 1st senior Yésica Mas, from Atl.
Alicante, at 36:39, as well as the 2nd senior Paloma Sánchez Sala, from the Elche Athletic Youth, who stopped the clock at 36:49.
