So far this year, CAVI Caravaca, which serves the Northwest Region, has served 64 new users
The Center for Attention to Women Victims of Gender Violence (CAVI) of Caravaca de la Cruz joins the 'International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women' with different awareness activities, which are carried out in educational centers of Infant, Primary and Secondary, as reported by the Councilor for Social Services, Maria Jose Soria, who has also announced that this Friday, November 23, will proceed to read a manifesto, at 12.30 pm, in the City Hall door and in all secondary schools in the municipality.
Soria has underlined the importance of working in the field of prevention from an early age to avoid any type of violent or discriminatory behavior: "reading this Friday's manifesto complements the workshops that the technicians responsible for the CAVI have taught in institutes with the title 'Prevention of gender violence in adolescents' and the reading of the story 'Tarzana', which will be held this week in schools to promote education in equality. "
On the other hand, the professionals of the CAVI and agents of the Civil Guard will participate in the talk on 'Information and awareness about gender violence from the different services for victims', scheduled for Wednesday, November 28, at 19.30, at the Espacio Joven de Cehegín, within a day organized by the Association of Progressive Women of that municipality.
At the end of last October, the CAVI team from Caravaca also gave a session to improve the coordination and attention to women victims of gender violence in the field of mental health and drug addiction, which included the participation of professionals from the Health.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women
The 'International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women' or 'International Day of Nonviolence against Women' is commemorated annually on November 25 to denounce the violence that is exerted on women around the world and demand policies in all countries for its eradication.
The convocation was initiated by the Latin American feminist movement in 1981 in commemoration of the date in which the three Mirabal sisters (Patria, Minerva and María Teresa) were murdered in the Dominican Republic in 1960.
In 1999, the day of vindication was assumed by the General Assembly of the United Nations in its resolution 54/134 on December 17, 1999 inviting governments, international organizations and non-governmental organizations to convene activities aimed at raising public awareness of the problem of violence against women.
