The mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Moreno, accompanied by the president of the Bands of the Horse of Wine, Javier Gallego, and the national deputy Maria Gonzalez, held a meeting at the Ministry of Culture to study and finalize the amendments applied to the file of the candidature of the Caballos del Vino to Intangible Cultural Heritage, following the new requirements approved in the UNESCO Convention of 2017, which required the adaptation of the document in aspects related to the registration form and evaluation criteria.
The introduced elements will allow to concur in 2020 with the greatest guarantees of success to the evaluation phase by the aforementioned international organization.
The mayor of Caravaca, after the meeting with the technicians of the General Subdirectorate of Protection of the Heritage, was received by the Minister of Culture, José Guiao, who expressed his support for the candidacy and his admiration for the Caballos del Vino, a celebration he has had the opportunity to live live several times.
