The City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz and the General Directorate of the Cadastre under the Ministry of Finance have signed an agreement on cadastral management.
"The Caravaqueño Consistory is the first in the Region of Murcia to formalize this collaboration agreement, which will allow streamlining procedures and bring services to the citizen, avoiding displacement," as reported by the mayor, José Moreno, after the meeting held with the Special Delegate of Economy and Finance in Murcia, Justo A. Parejo.
Through the aforementioned agreement, the City of Caravaca assumes the task of managing different procedures in order to achieve more effective management and an improvement in collection.
Among the objectives that are expected to be achieved is the updating of the cadastral registry and the reduction of charges to the citizen.
In this way, the new model agreed between the General Directorate of Cadastre and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) is put into practice, which is already working successfully in other Spanish municipalities.
"The agreement includes a new maintenance model based on an incident map, which allows the cadastre to be permanently updated in the event of any incidence or discrepancy between the cadastral information and the real estate reality, using the latest technological advances", said Justo Parejo .
The City of Caravaca has committed to collaborate in the tasks of notification and attention to the public derived from the files processed from the entry into force of the agreement and any collective assessment procedure that can be carried out in the municipality.
Thanks to this system of incident map will be an immediate translation of the information that is generated in the City Council, either by the urban information of the different planning as in regard to buildings, additions of new buildings, updates for reforms in real estate, groupings, segregations, changes in use, withdrawal requests, etc.
In this sense, the mayor said that "it is a tool that is offering very good results in other Spanish municipalities to streamline the processes of cadastral regularization and that pending cases are served in the shortest time possible with an information office that will be attended by municipal staff ".
