The 41th Party of the Cuadrillas, which is celebrated from January 25 to 27, will receive a grant of 8,000 euros from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism
The 2019 regional budgets allocate a direct ticket of 95,000 euros to the Museum of Ethnic Music of Barranda.
The game, intended for Caravaca City Council, is aimed at covering the expenses of the museum, which houses one of the best collections of musical instruments from around the world, with pieces from five continents.
THE GRANT TO THE PARTY OF THE CUADRILLAS IS DUPLICATE
On the other hand, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has granted this year a grant of 8,000 euros to the Fiesta de las Cuadrillas of the caravaqueña district, which reaches its 41st edition and will be held from January 25 to 27.
The increase of this economic aid, which doubles the amount of previous years, has always been a demand of the Popular Group of Caravaca, because the Fiesta de las Cuadrillas is a reference for the conservation and dissemination of popular culture and, in addition, it is an important tourist attraction, since it gathers more than 15,000 people in the streets of Barranda every last Sunday of January.
The president of the local PP, José Francisco García, stressed the increase in this aid, "because beyond its festive and cultural character, this festival is an element that generates wealth in Barranda and vindicates the rural world."
"The same happens," he added, "with the Museum of Ethnic Music, which was once a firm commitment to invigorate this district and enhance it as a cultural and tourist destination."
