The City of Caravaca de la Cruz, through its Department of Transparency and Citizen Participation, has launched the second experience of participatory budgeting applied to projects and youth initiatives.
The research group that is responsible for guiding the process is giving informative sessions among the students of Secondary, Baccalaureate and Vocational Training of the municipality's centers, which exposes the concept of citizen participation and explains how to make the proposals.
In February the collection of proposals will be carried out and later, the technical evaluation of the same and the day of voting and scrutiny.
Following the model put into practice with the budgets of last year, the Caravaqueño Consistory will allocate a game of 15,000 euros, of which at least 5,000 will be for initiatives related to culture and education and a maximum of 10,000 projects related to other areas .
Through the participatory budgets applied to the area of ​​Youth, several objectives are pursued, such as knowing and prioritizing the needs of young people to contribute to a more effective use of public resources for this group and encourage their active participation in the processes of taking decisions.
