From 23 to 27 January, presentations and gastronomic tastings will be held at the joint stand
Caravaca de la Cruz will show its tourist attractions at the International Tourism Fair of Madrid (FITUR), in a joint stand with the municipalities of Cehegín, Calasparra and Moratalla.
During the fair, which opens its doors from 23 to 27 January, various exhibitions of the cultural, architectural, natural and gastronomic heritage of the Northwest Region of Murcia will be held.
The House of Culture of Calasparra hosted the presentation of the stand that the Northwest of the Region of Murcia will bring to FITUR 2019, with the presence of the mayors of the participating municipalities, who coincided in pointing out the commitment to regional tourism, through the Commonwealth of Tourist Services of the Northwest.
In this regard, the mayor of Caravaca stressed that "it is a pleasure to go one more year from the hand of neighboring towns to one of the most important tourism fairs worldwide, since, in this way, we get each municipality to contribute its strengths and have a common offer, stronger and coordinated. "
José Moreno also advanced that it will be a "dynamic stand, in which the large format images will have the leading role in order to show the benefits of this land".
Coinciding with FITUR 2019, the Caravaqueño Consistory will release a new promotional video of the municipality, with the slogan 'Caravaca de la Cruz: way, heritage and culture'.
On Thursday, January 24, at 1:00 pm, there will be a presentation of the Camino de la Cruz de la Caravaca, focusing on the Camino de San Juan de la Cruz, which starts in Beas de Segura, and the Camino de Levante, which It begins in Orihuela and was the main route of pilgrimage during the last Jubilee Year.
On Friday, January 25, at 11.00, Todopán de Caravaca and Tucao de Cehegín will make known the sweet 'Murciatone'.
This same day, at 13.00, will hold a general presentation of the tourism resources of the municipality and then another that will merge the offer of tourism and sport, making known the calendar of sports races that occur throughout the year.
The stand, of 112 square meters, has screens for general videos and presentations, an exhibitor for products of the area of ​​three meters and an eight-meter counter, as well as a meeting space to hold meetings with professionals in the sector and specialized media.
FITUR 2019 once again becomes the focus of attention of the international tourism community and plans to exceed 251,000 attendees, a record number that also includes the 140,120 professionals from around the world who received the last edition. The participation will be 886 regular exhibitors, with a growth of 8.3% compared to the previous edition.
There will also be 10,487 companies from 165 countries and regions.
The national presence grows 6%, and the international chapter, which already represents 55% of the participation share in FITUR, does so by 11%.
