Caravaca de la Cruz hosts two conferences and a theatrical performance within the Conference 'An education for the 21st century.
Looks from the sciences and the arts', that in his fifth edition are formed by more than 120 activities that approach current problems and diverse questions on the educational field.
The V Days 'An education for the 21st century' are held under the premise of giving value to public education and encourage debate about the changes needed so that the contents taught in the classroom are adjusted to the real needs of students.
"They are a bet for the reflection on the current educational model, since the changes and novelties that have taken place in the sciences and in the arts in the last decades are influencing the development of education and open new perspectives and ways to explore ", as indicated by the Councilor for Education and Youth in the City of Caravaca, Ana Luisa Marcos.
For its part, the representative of the organizing committee of the conference in the Northwest, José Clemente Rubio, pointed out that these days, which bring activities to 17 municipalities in the region, are consolidated as a meeting point "where it is possible debate, reflect and revalue the meaning and purpose of the school in today's society ".
"We consider -has pointed- that in this reflection and change of educational model, it is necessary to take into account the needs, proposals and experiences of students, teachers and families."
