The councils of Education and Youth of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, with the collaboration of the Federation of Associations of Fathers and Mothers of the municipality, will develop during the coming weeks three training actions aimed at children and youth, for which already The registration period is open.
The new activities announced by the head of these councils, Ana Luisa Marcos, and the president of the aforementioned federation, Maribel Sánchez, are the 'Children's Emotional School', the workshop 'Training in executive functions, study techniques, motivation and mindfulness' and the 'Creative Reading Club'.
"These are three actions with which we want to expand knowledge and contribute to the personal development of children and young people, making available to families new training spaces", said the mayor Ana Luisa Marcos.
The first edition of the 'Emotional School for Children' will be held on Saturday mornings at the Youth Center, covering a total of five training hours (2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 March), aimed at children from 4 to 9 years.
The objective is to apply emotional education as an educational innovation that responds to unmet social needs in ordinary academic subjects, focused on working the human capacity to feel, understand, manage and modify emotional states.
For this, through games, group dynamics and other attractive activities for minors, aspects such as self-knowledge, self-esteem, self-control and empathy will be addressed.
The workshop 'Training in executive functions, study techniques, motivation and mindfulness' will provide children and young people with useful tools for their day and day and to encourage their motivation as students.
It will be taught at the Youth Center on Fridays 8, 15 and 22 of February, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, aimed at students in 5th and 6th grades of Primary and Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO).
The 'Creative Reading Club' celebrates its fifth edition and, in this case, the registrations are made through associations of mothers and mothers.
It is intended for primary school students and will have several groups depending on age and demand of the course.
More than 200 students have participated in each of its past editions.
This course will be held on Friday afternoons from March 1 to April 23.
The 'Children's Emotional School', the workshop 'Training in executive functions, study techniques, motivation and mindfulness' and 'Creative reading club' will be taught by specialists from the Center for Psychology, Pedagogy, Training and Personal Development 'Imaginia'.
