The Department of Youth of the Caravaqueño Consistory has presented its new leisure program, consisting of recreational workshops and training courses, which take place during weekends and holidays from January to June.
The Youth Center hosts activities throughout the year, but renews its programming every six months in order to have a more dynamic offer and adapt to the tastes and demands of its users.
Thus, the councilor for Youth and Education, Ana Luisa Marcos, has advanced that, among the proposals for children and young people for the remainder of winter and the spring months, are the workshops of 'Cooking', 'Computer', 'Photography' and 'Programming and flight of drones', in addition to other initiatives that have continuity throughout the school year as is the 'Municipal School of Theater'.
On Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., you can also take part in 'The Youth Center playroom', an educational and integration space with multiple games and excursions, which has specialized monitors for the care of children with disabilities.
In addition to the offer of recreational workshops, the registration period is open for courses on 'Sign Language' (levels I and II), 'Animation and education in free time','Techniques and resources for environmental education ', to which we must add those already announced, organized with the collaboration of the Federation of Associations of Parents of the municipality, and which are: the 'Children's Emotional School', the workshop 'Training in executive functions, study techniques, motivation and mindfulness' and the 'Creative Reading Club'.
Young people can use the Caravaca Youth Center every weekend (Friday until 10 pm, Saturday morning and afternoon until midnight and Sundays until 10 pm).
The facilities are equipped with leisure rooms with billiards, table football, ping-pong, diana, play3, as well as rehearsal rooms for musical groups, computer room and meeting spaces.
