The mayor of Cieza has presented in Caravaca the program of activities that this year covers the flowering, a natural phenomenon that has become a tourist and cultural attraction
The City Councils of Caravaca de la Cruz and Cieza establish collaboration links to publicize the tourism resources of both municipalities, through an exchange of information and promotional material between the two tourism offices, as agreed in the meeting held between both mayors and responsible for the councils of Tourism.
After the meeting, the program 'Flowering 19' has been presented, a natural phenomenon that has become a tourist and cultural attraction, thanks to the beauty of it and the extensive program of parallel events that accompany it.
The Town Hall of Cieza has also moved to Caravaca the promotional van to distribute information among the neighbors of the visits and activities that are held from March 1 to 31.
"We have laid the foundations to create links between both tourism departments, the intention is to join efforts in order to make the two municipalities more visible, making known the multiple natural, cultural and heritage values ​​that both destinations of inland tourism have" , has indicated the mayor of Caravaca, José Moreno.
For its part, the mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas, thanked the host to present the program of the 'Flowering 19', noting that this event is developed "with the desire to deseasonalize tourism in the region, so that our companies tourism improve their business results and become bigger and stronger, as well as to give more life to the innkeepers and merchants ".
Lucas has also spoken of the wealth of ciezano heritage, "unique in the Region and special for its pure beauty".
In 2018 Flowering celebrated its second edition with a great success of influx, surpassing in 60,000 the number of tourists, and being 28,000 the number of people who participated in the different activities.
This year's edition has been a leap in quality for the project and an attraction for the thousands of tourists who are already part of the experience.
Nature, Heritage, Sport, Music and Gastronomy are the 5 petals that lead the program of activities.
The first flowers will give way to the scheduled events.
It begins on March 2 with the 'Flor Festival Cieza', an indie missive festival in the Plaza de España where three groups will play the most important music of Floración, with headline Iván Ferreiro, with the premiere of his national tour in Cieza.
In parallel, the tourism companies will carry out throughout the month its guided offer to visitors and hikers, this year with important new features, such as sunsets flowering, paradores flowering, adventure activities, and so on.
Other novelties are "Afterwork" and "Flowering Passages", which mix art, music, culture and gastronomy to celebrate a street show.
From 7 to 10, the Plaza de España will be once again the main axis with the celebration of 'SaborArte', with many novelties that will ensure the success of the fair in its third year.
