The Crossing of Resistance in Mountain 'Sierras del Noroeste Murciano' reaches its majority age on Saturday, March 2 with full inscriptions.
It is a test of non-competitive nature, known in the world of mountaineering Murcia as 'The Classical' and organized by the Sports Association 'Adenow', with the collaboration of the Department of Sports of the City of Caravaca, the General Directorate of Sports of the Autonomous Community and different sponsors.
The trip retains its original essence and the 170 participants will not know the route until the day of its celebration.
In this XVIII edition, will have to face a journey of 45 kilometers, with a positive slope of two thousand meters, mostly by the mountains of the municipality of Caravaca de la Cruz, as reported by the president of the Sports Association 'Adenow ', Alejandro Medina, accompanied by the mayor of Deportes, María José Soria, and by the general director of Sports, Alonso Gómez.
The association 'Adenow' is a link between nature lovers and disciplines such as spelunking, mountaineering, climbing, mountaineering or canyoning.
It was created with the purpose of promoting these sports practices, using the numerous natural resources that the Northwest Region has.
Its components promote various activities every year, such as the journey of mountain resistance or coexistence in natural environments.
In addition, the president of 'Adenow' recalled that they are currently developing, together with the Federation of Speleology of the Region of Murcia, a project of recovery and conservation of the natural heritage underground northwest Murcia.
The cleanup days, which also aims to raise awareness of the risks of degradation of the underground environment, will run until June and have LEADER funding from the Rural Development Program of the Region of Murcia.
