The City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz has initiated sectoral meetings within the preliminary work for the update of the General Plan for Urban Planning (PGMO).
The councilors of Urbanism and Works, Enrique Fuentes, and Services, Jesus Sanchez, along with municipal technicians and the company 'Ideus', have met with representatives of the footwear industry to collect their first contributions and in the coming weeks will do so with other sectors of the local economy.
The Department of Urbanism has commissioned the previous study of diagnosis of the urban situation of the municipality to 'Ideus, sustainable engineering'.
The normative changes marked by the Law of Territorial and Urban Planning of the Region of Murcia and the numerous deficiencies and dysfunctions of the current text make it necessary to undertake a modification of the PGMO.
The works will be developed under two fundamental premises: to seek citizen participation and guarantee the sustainable development of the municipality, fulfilling all environmental conditions.
