The different training actions planned in 2019 are promoted by the association 'Calzia', with the collaboration of the City of Caravaca and the Regional Employment and Training Service
The first edition of the training courses of 'Aparado and Sewn of Footwear and Alpargatas', within the European project 'Erasmus + AppShoe', has concluded with the delivery of diplomas to the 15 participating students on the part of the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Moreno, the general director of the Regional Service of Employment and Training (SEF), Severa González, and the president of the Association of Footwear Industries 'Calzia Jute of Caravaca', Juan Romero.
The course, aimed at people in situation of unemployment, has a second edition, which is currently underway, and during the year 2019, the convocation of two others is approved.
These training actions are promoted by the Association of Footwear Industries 'Calzia Jute of Caravaca' and financed by the SEF.
The development of the theoretical and practical works is possible thanks to the collaboration agreement signed with the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, through which the use of the classroom-workshop of the Municipal Center for Employment, Training and Equality is transferred.
Similarly, from the Department of Employment of the Caravaqueño Consistory another agreement is maintained with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Equality so that in the aforementioned municipal facilities is taught the Middle Degree of Footwear Technician and Fashion Complements.
The European initiative 'Erasmus + AppShoe', where the training courses of apparel and sewing are framed, aims to improve the professional training applied to the footwear sector.
The association 'Calzia-Jute of Caravaca', in collaboration with the administrations, has among its main aims to improve the professional training of the sector, seeking the incorporation into the job market of people in situation of unemployment.
The 'aparado' is one of the productive processes that has evolved the most in recent years, so many brands are forced to outsource these tasks in companies from other provinces.
With the implementation of this training strategy, the skills of unemployed and active workers are improved and the competitiveness of the sector increased.
