The 'Thinking Brass' quintet offers a concert tomorrow, Thursday, April 11, at 8:00 pm, in the church of San José de Caravaca de la Cruz, with free access until full capacity is reached.
This concert is part of the programming of the I 'Metal Wind Week', organized by the Professional Conservatory of Music 'Leandro Martínez Romero'.
Its director, Raul Bartomeu, has reported that "since last Tuesday are being held auditions, workshops and lectures with a pedagogical and internal, aimed primarily at wind-metal students, although a concert for the general public has been prepared with musicians with a high level and experience ".
The training 'Thinking Brass' was created in 2016 and is composed of five Valencian musicians, all of them graduates or studying different specialties, having completed their studies of Higher Degree in the conservatories of Murcia and Alicante.
The members are the trumpeters Manuel Latorre and Eliecer Caro, the trompista Miguel Ángel Martínez, the trombonist David Andreu and the tuba José Manuel López.
'Thinking Brass' is an initiative that arises from the passion for music and the concern to spread the music for metal quintet.
That is why they try to cover all possible styles, from the characteristic music of the baroque to the contemporary.
They have received the second prize in the National Contest of Metal Quintets of Ondara (Alicante) and were finalists in the 28th International Contest 'Paper de Música', of Capellades.
In 2017 they participated in the 'Ticino Music Festival' in Lugano (Switzerland), where they offered four concerts.
