Red Cross Youth, in collaboration with the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, installed tomorrow, Saturday April 13, a 'Violet Point' to offer information on attitudes and sexist behavior and be a space for prevention, safety and support of potential victims of sexist or sexual violence.
This campaign, which coincides with the celebration of the 'Día del Moro' multi-day celebration of the Caravaqueña district, will take place from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., on the square between Calle Castilla and Ciudad Jardín, with the help of a large number of people group of volunteers.
A Violet Point is a space enabled in festive leisure areas, especially of nocturnal character, with the objective of sensitizing the population and of attending, informing and helping victims of sexist aggressions.
These points are formed by two well-differentiated zones with a different purpose.
In the first place, a space of awareness, of a mixed nature, in which men and women carry out dynamic activities with a gender perspective and about harassment and other macho attitudes that can occur in these festive leisure spaces.
And on the other hand, the intervention space, in which only women participate, which is intended for direct attention to those women who may have suffered some type of aggression and act as an emotional barrier, helping in what they need and informing them of the external services with which it is counted.
