Caravaca de la Cruz joins the commemoration of the 'World Book Day' with various activities, which have started at the IES 'Ginés Pérez Chirinos', where a solidarity book fair has been held, a continued reading of 'El Quijote' ', a dramatization of romances and literary texts and a radio talk show with the writers María Dolores Pérez de la Hoyica, Jesús López and Rafael Moreno.
The mayor, José Moreno, and the mayor of Education, Ana Luisa Marcos, have participated in the public reading of the most universal work of Miguel de Cervantes and have congratulated the institute for all the initiatives undertaken to promote reading and literature.
The director of the center, Ginés Pérez, wanted to dedicate all the activities of the day to the memory of the caravaqueña teacher of Language and Literature Encarna Reinón.
The activities of the 'World Book Day' continue at 6.30 pm today, Tuesday 23 April, with the homage to the Machado brothers organized by the Municipal Library, in which the 'La Candela' Reading Club participates, the workshop of creative reading, the school 'La Santa Cruz' and all the people who wish to join.
The Federation of Associations of Fathers and Mothers of the municipality, in collaboration with the Youth Council, also closes the 'Creative Reading Club', at 5:00 pm, at the Thuillier Theater.
