The PP proposes to value the valuable network of museums and archaeological sites of Caravaca de la Cruz as a tourist resource of the first order.
On the International Museum Day, today May 18, the popular candidate for mayor has regretted that the City Council has not scheduled a single activity in any of the Caravaca museums to commemorate this day and recalled that the main acting in museum matter in these 4 years of socialist government has been closing the Ethnographic Museum of Miniatures Ángel Reinón.
"Tourism should be understood as an industry that generates opportunities, employment and local wealth," said José Francisco García, who added that "we will work so that the tourist attraction of our municipality has an impact on the caravaqueños' pocket."
García explained that it is necessary to implement a solid tourism strategy based on cultural, religious, sports and rural tourism, reinforcing the positioning of the destination with promotional and commercial support.
"We will create a connected signage, Caravaca will be a smart tourist destination," he added.
The PP also proposes the creation of the figure of the local cultural volunteer that shows the visitor the traditions through his experience.
