The City of Caravaca de la Cruz, through its Department of Celebrations, presented the awards of the VII Photo Contest on Instagram 'Fiestas de Caravaca' and the third edition of the contest 'Balconies and Showcases Festeros'.
The event took place in the church of San José of the old Carmelite convent, coinciding with the exhibition of the mantos of the Caballos del Vino, which is celebrated until May 31.
The first prize of the contest organized on the Instagram social network was for Diego Martínez (@ mgd85diego), with an image that captures the active participation of women in the celebration of the Caballos del Vino.
Miguel Ángel Sánchez-Guerrero (@miguelonphotography) has obtained the second prize, with a photograph that collects a close-up of the horse 'Terry', peña horseman winner of the Contest of Harnessing 2019, and the third prize went to Juan Pedro García, with a photo of the Caballeros de Navarra group in the moments before the battle of May 3 between the Moro and Cristiano bands.
The winners received different technological awards courtesy of the concessionary company of the Aqualia municipal water service, which has sponsored this contest in all its editions.
The objective of this contest, which closes once again with a high level of participation and interaction on the part of the users, is to improve the positioning of the parties in honor of La Santísima and Vera Cruz on Instagram.
Currently the gallery created with the hashtag #FiestasDeCaravaca has more than 5,500 images.
The criteria of the jury are not strictly technical, since it is not a professional photography contest, also assessing artistic, emotional or sentimental aspects that are considered representative of the past holidays.
This initiative, like the contest of 'Balcones y Escaparatos Festeros', is part of the actions of online promotion of the festivities, promoted by the Department of Celebrations, in collaboration with the web portal caravacaenfiestas.com.
The third contest 'Balconies and showcases festeros', which has been held through the social network Facebook, has had as winners the trade 'Sandra Bags' and the balcony of María Pérez García.
As in its previous editions, the road cleaning service company 'Urban Environment and Environment' has awarded two prizes consisting of a break for two people to the Hotel and Thalassotherapy Center 'Thalasia'.
The contest 'Balconies and festive windows' is summoned with the aim is to beautify the city during the patron festivities and strengthen the online promotion campaign that is deployed on social networks.
