The City of Caravaca de la Cruz, through its councils of Environment, Public Safety and Education, has begun the activities of the 'World Environment Day' with an exhibition of emergency means for the extinction of forest fires.
"Some 350 primary school students have learned first-hand advice for prevention, as well as the basic functions of some of the technical means and vehicles that could operate in our municipal area in the event of declaring a forest fire."
Fuentes thanked the collaboration of the General Directorate of the Natural Environment, the Directorate General of Citizen Security and Emergencies, the Fire Extinction Consortium, Local Police and Caravaca Civil Protection, which have mobilized technical and human resources to carry out This guided activity with students from all the centers of the urban area and districts.
Up to the San Clara promenade, in the space created for the Festive Site, brigades of rapid intervention, heli-transport, forestry, fire and civil protection vehicles and an emergency intervention unit have been moved, among other means.
