The mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Moreno, together with the councilors responsible for Sports and Works, María José Soria and Enrique Fuentes, respectively, visited the sports complex Juan Carlos I, where the lighting improvement and reform project has been completed of three tracks.
Specifically, through the Works and Services Cooperation Plan corresponding to the 2018/2019 annuity, the improvement of the sign of the two tennis courts and one of the multipurpose courts has been carried out, with an allocation budget of 48,764 euros.
Previously, through an employment program, the comprehensive reform of the dressing rooms and toilets of the sports complex Juan Carlos I was implemented. This action had a total budget of 143,677 euros, of which 90,000 were municipal contribution and the remaining 54,000 They were financed by the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF) and the European Social Fund (ESF).
The objective of the two actions has been to solve problems inherent to the intensive use of this municipal sports facility, since both the changing rooms and the tracks were very deteriorated, presenting cracked and worn pavement areas over time.
