The 'Tomir Cup' is celebrated throughout the weekend with more than a hundred games to be played in the municipal Antonio Martínez 'El Morao'.
In this fifth edition there are 24 Alevín teams, some of them from clubs like Atlético de Madrid, Real Betis, Club Atlético Osasuna, SD Eibar, Málaga CF, SL Benfica and Elche CF.
In total there are about 500 participants - among children, monitors and other members of the clubs - that make Caravaca de la Cruz for the fifth consecutive year in the national capital of grassroots football.
The V Tomir Cup began with the welcome on the esplanade of the Castle to teams arriving from different parts of Spain, an event that was attended by the mayor, José Moreno, and the councilor for Sports, María José Soria.
The matches are played during Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 7, 8 and 9 June, with a joint ticket for all six-euro matches.
The gold final will be played this Sunday at 11.10 am and the closing and delivery of trophies will take place at 12.10 hours.
