The Department of Youth of the Caravaqueño Consistory launches its offer of summer activities, with leisure and training proposals for children and youth.
Among them are the summer schools, the 'Field of Experiences We listen to your eyes', Erasmus + youth exchanges and the Computer and Climbing workshops.
The acting councilor of the areas of Education and Youth, Ana Luisa Marcos, said that the programming is based on alternative forms of leisure to encourage fun, creativity and training in values.
In addition, it also contributes to the reconciliation of family and work life during school holidays.
The program 'Verano Joven 2019' is divided into several blocks of activities.
On the one hand, there are the summer municipal schools, which will be held at the Caravaca Sports Center (July and August) and at Barranda, La Encarnación and Archivel (July).
The school of the urban helmet will have an inclusion component, adapted to children with disabilities, and of integration, with minors scholarships through the council of Social Services.
On the other hand, the councils of Social Services and Youth, together with the Association of Families of Persons with Intellectual Disability of the Northwest (APCOM), have scheduled the third edition of the 'Field of experiences: We listen to your eyes', aimed at 15 young people, with ages from 16 years old (4th of ESO).
Its objective is that the participants approach the reality of people with disabilities, forming part of the work that takes place in the Day and Residence Center of Large Dependents 'El Copo'.
Regarding European youth meetings, the City Council participates as a partner or organizer in various exchanges within the Erasmus + program.
One of them is the European Youth Exchange 'Meydo', which will take place in the Finnish city of Lapua, where young caravans will live an intercultural learning experience together with 21 young people from Hungary and Finland.
It will be held from July 4 to 11.
The Youth Council also participates as a partner in the project 'European Youth Meeting', from 21 to 27 July in the Austrian city of Laakirchen.
In addition, the 'Euroaction' Association of Murcia will launch the 'Touch of Life' Youth Exchange, which will take place at the Casa del Trigo in the district of Los Prados and at the Caravaca Youth Center, from July 23 to 29, with young people from different European countries.
As for workshops and courses, the municipalities of Caravaca de la Cruz and Cehegín jointly offer the 'Leisure and free time monitor' course, whose registration is, in part, subsidized to lower the cost of it.
There will be limited places for each of the municipalities and the theoretical part will be made in intensive format during the month of July and, starting in August, a practical part.
To promote leisure, from the Department of Youth is offered a computer workshop for children and a workshop Scald for children and youth, both will be developed in the evenings of July.
The Youth Center changes its schedule opening weekdays from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm, starting on July 24, maintaining its services as a study room, music rehearsal, computer science, leisure (billiards, play, table football, pingpong, etc.).
