The Popular Party candidate José Francisco García has been proclaimed mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz this afternoon, during the constitutive session of the Municipal Corporation 2019-2023 that took place in the hall of sessions of the Town Hall.
Garcia has been elected mayor thanks to the nine votes of the Municipal Group and the two votes of the Municipal Citizens Group, thus adding the absolute majority of the chamber.
The constitution session, which as is mandatory has been held on the 20th day after the elections, has begun at 12:00 hours with the formation of the Age Bureau composed of the elected councilors of major and minor age, acting as secretary of the Corporation.
