The Campus 'Mista' this summer celebrates its twentieth anniversary, consolidated as a national reference and a role model in the basic sport of football and indoor soccer.
Nearly a hundred children participate in the campus, led by coach and former footballer Miguel Ángel Ferrer 'Mista' caravaqueño, which is accompanied by a team of twenty monitors, including coaches, active footballers, physical education teachers, referees and physiotherapists.
The mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Francisco García, along with the Councilor for Sports and campus coordinator in all its editions, Pepe Tudela, has visited this activity that is already a classic of the sports programming of the summer and that every year completes the number of places offered.
Some of the founders of the campus have also participated in the visit.
"The key to the success of this campus is not only its method of teaching the practice of football, but it goes much further, always worked on fundamental values ​​for sports such as fair play and camaraderie," said the mayor.
José Francisco García has had words of thanks for all the team of monitors "for their enthusiasm and professionalism" and in a special way for Miguel Ángel Ferrer 'Mista', "who for two decades, each summer, has been demonstrating an ongoing commitment to sport of base of our municipality. "
The Department of Sports of the Caravaqueño Consistory lends its support for each year to celebrate this campus, and is mainly developed in different municipal spaces, such as the shelter of the Fuentes del Marqués, the municipal pool or sports facilities such as the covered pavilions or the Municipal football field.
Among the objectives of the Campus 'Mista' is to increase the social relationships of children outside their daily environment, as well as the development of self-esteem and motivation through the practice of football and futsal, with an individualized treatment and a permanent contact with a large team of monitors and professors with a high experience.
