This year, the subsidy program to build or rehabilitate leased housing has a budget of more than 3.5 million, and the deadline for requesting it ends on August 5
A total of 61 homes, located in the municipalities of Caravaca de la Cruz, Aledo, Cartagena and Las Torres de Cotillas have benefited from 1.6 million euros in aid for the promotion of rental housing last year.
This subsidy program is part of the Housing Plan of the Region of Murcia 2018-2021.
The Minister of Development and Infrastructure in office, Patricio Valverde, accompanied by the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Francisco García, today visited a housing development located in the municipality that has received 63,900 euros in grants for the rehabilitation of three homes.
"In Caravaca de la Cruz have obtained a total of 26 of the properties, for a total of 707,900 euros," said the counselor, who recalled that the program of aid for the promotion of rental housing is one of the novelties of the current Housing Plan, which aims to facilitate access to people with less economic resources to a home at an affordable price, as well as increase the park of rental housing.
This type of subsidies is part of the commitment of the regional Executive to boost the rent in the Region, both with direct payments for monthly rent and subsidies to increase the housing stock.
More than 3.5 million for the new call

The subsidies of the call for this exercise may reach a maximum limit of € 31,500 of aid per dwelling if the rental price does not exceed € 7 per month per square meter of floor space of the rented property.
