More than 150 children have participated during the month of July in the municipal summer schools offered by the Department of Youth of the Caravaqueño Consistory both in the town center and in the districts of Barranda, Archivel and La Encarnación.
"The schools promoted by the City Council during the school holidays stage fulfill several objectives, among which it is important to help families in the reconciliation of family and work life, as well as to promote social skills and team work through numerous recreational activities. and educational ", as pointed out by the councilor responsible for the area, Laura Sánchez, who has participated, along with the mayor of Social Services, Isabel López, in the closing party of the school of the town of July, developed in collaboration with the Caravaca Sports Center.
Councilwoman Laura Sánchez has also made reference to the full inclusion and social integration component of the municipal summer schools, in which 32 minors have been awarded scholarships and also receive a daily catering service during the period in which it is interrupted The dining service in the schools.
Likewise, users of the Apcom 'Avanza' early care center participate, thanks to the reinforcement with monitors specialized in the care of children with disabilities.
The summer schools are integrated into the leisure and leisure program 'Youth Summer' organized by the Department of Youth, which also includes other activities such as workshops, training courses, exchanges, volunteer experiences and music festivals.
