Before the cold drop alert activated by the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) for the entire Region of Murcia, the City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz has activated a special emergency device, which has started operating today, after the coordination meeting held early in the morning.

Likewise, controls from the Local Police and the Civil Guard and those responsible for Civil Protection, Firefighters and the municipal maintenance brigade have participated.
"The plan has been structured in two parts: the pre-emergency phase in which we now find ourselves, where the work focuses on the review of potential conflict zones, cleaning of sewers and scree and placement of fences in spaces that may be affected. They have also asked for extreme precautions, especially during Thursday, avoiding, as far as possible, vehicle travel.
Other recommendations are that they be reviewed in downpipes and drains, protected areas that may be flooded, as well as staying away from water currents, waterways and channels.
DANA (Isolated Depression in High Levels) will arrive in the Region today, Wednesday, when the effects with the first rains will begin to be noticed.
