Some 300 copies of different points of the Spanish geography will participate in the contest, scoring for regional, national and international championship
The XV National and International Dog Show and the XXV Canine Contest of Caravaca de la Cruz are held on the weekend of September 21 and 22 on the Paseo de La Corredera, with parallel activities for all audiences.
The Councilor for Environment and Animal Welfare, Ana Belén Martínez, presented this event, whose origins date back to the popular contest that began 25 years ago in the old pavilion, the Peque Jeque.
The mayor was accompanied by the president of 'Alianz Canine Worldwide' and the National Canine Association ACCAM, María Eugenia Ribelles, as well as the representatives of the horse club 'Sheikh', Ginés Martínez and Sofía Martínez.
"With this activity, which will bring together about 300 copies to compete in the scoring contest for the Spanish Championship, responsible ownership of pets with different parallel awareness activities is also encouraged," said mayor Ana Belén Martínez.
One of them will be the training exhibition on obedience, skills and people search, which will be preceded by a talk-workshop focused on obligations and urban education for pet owners, by CenterK9Elche.
On Saturday, September 21, starting at 5:00 p.m., there will be different activities aimed at fans of the dog world, such as a spectacular dog show, official breed recognition for specimens without pedigree and a free popular canine contest, in which Dogs with and without pedigree may be participating being presented by children or adults.
On Sunday, September 22, starting at 10 am, the XV National and International Dog Show and XXV Canine Contest for the International Championship, Spanish Championship and the Autonomous Community of Murcia Championship will be held, in which the participation of about 300 copies of different points of the Spanish geography.
During the weekend, attendees can enjoy a great dog training exhibition by the CMC Training Club.
And in addition, official breed examinations will be made for copies that, being purebred, are not inscribed in the Official Canine Origins Book and, therefore, do not have pedigree.
Dog owners interested in being part of any of the sections of the official exhibition are still in time to participate, enrolling through www.caninanacionalaccam.es and info@caninanacionalccam.es.
Registrations may also be made on Sunday, September 22, at the international dog show, at the ACCAM Canine Association of Spain stand.
Participation in the popular contest, which gave rise to this event, is free and does not require prior registration.
