Matías Albarracín Crespo, was born on Calle Aurora No. 3 in Caravaca.
Son of Francisco Albarracín, Civil Guard and Wonders Crespo.
He was the second of five siblings and studied elementary school at the Castle school.
At age 11 he was an orphan as a father, which forced him to leave school and get to work.
He entered as a trainee at the Jiménez tissue store, where he spent his entire professional life, becoming a manager and accountant until his retirement in 1965.
Married to Encarnación Montoya, he had four daughters: Maravillas, Mari Carmen María Encarna and Mari Cruz.
Restless man, he joined the very young band playing the trumpet.
He formed together with other caravaqueños musicians the Donave Orchestra, which played in the Mercantile Circle, in the Las Delicias Festival Hall, in the Carmen festivals and in how many events were celebrated.
In addition to playing in the orchestra he was the singer of the same, since he had a beautiful voice of dramatic tenor.
Matías was a true self-taught, his love of theater led him to interpret and direct several plays and zarzuelas for the benefit of the kábila of Los Rifeños, of which he was founder with Ángel Celdrán and other friends.
We must also highlight his excellent rapsoda skills, reciting poems by Manuel Guerrero and his great friend Elías los Arcos.
He died at age 67 on May 9, 1987 at the Hospital de la Arrixaca.
