The councilor of the Municipal Socialist Group, Jesús Sánchez will present a motion on energy efficiency and public lighting of Caravaca de la Cruz and its districts in the next plenary on September 30.
In 2018, the Caravaca de la Cruz City Council conducted an energy audit of municipal public lighting with the following results:
NUMBER OF LIGHT POINTS: 7.547 UDS.
TOTAL INSTALLED POWER: 1,087.86 KW.
REAL POWER CONSUMPTION IN ONE YEAR. 3787.762 KWH.
ENERGY CONSUMPTION COST IN ONE YEAR. 588,952 €.
The audit company proposed to change the luminaires and lamps to LED technology and remote management of the facilities, point to point, with the following forecasts:
NEW INSTALLED POWER: 247.15 KW.
POWER REDUCTION: 77.29%
NEW ANNUAL CONSUMPTION: 799,659.58 KWH.
CONSUMPTION REDUCTION: 78.89%
NEW ANNUAL BILLING: € 123,879.48
ANNUAL ENERGY SAVINGS: 2,988,102.79 KWH.
ANNUAL ECONOMIC SAVINGS IN ENERGY; € 465,072.83.
ANNUAL EMISSION REDUCTION: 866.54 tCO2
INVESTMENT NECESSARY: € 3,941,649.10.
Given the great benefits that would be obtained, applying the proposed technology, for the environment and for the economy of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, the following agreements are proposed:
That by the Technical Office the total benefits that would be obtained by adding to those of lower energy consumption are calculated those corresponding to: maintenance and personnel
Perform, in the shortest possible time, the modification of the facilities that allow obtaining the expected benefits.
