The pediatric mayors of the municipality for the next four years have been presented publicly at an event held in the Plenary Hall of the City Council, which has been chaired by the mayor, José Francisco García, and has counted the participation of members of the municipal Corporation, regional deputies and components of the Regional Government.
Representatives of associations and organizations linked to the rural world have also been invited to the event, who have come to the Consistory to wrap up the new pedáneos.
It is the first time in the history of local democracy that a process of democratic election of the pedáneos has been carried out, open to all parties and neighbors, based on the Municipal Regulation of Citizen Participation.
"With this act culminates a process of pioneer citizen participation in our municipality. For the first time a consultation has been held in which the residents of the districts have had a voice, the opportunity to present themselves and to elect their representatives in a transparent process and scrupulous, "said the mayor during his speech.

Also the mayor, after the intervention of the spokesmen of the three municipal political groups, recalled that "the history of the municipality has been written on numerous occasions from their rural areas.
