The City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz, through its Department of Women and Equal Opportunities, has launched a training plan aimed at women's associations in the municipality.
The courses have started simultaneously in the Social Hall of La Almudema and the Municipal Center for Employment, Training and Equality of Caravaca.
They will continue during the next weeks at other locations in the town center and the districts.
"One of the objectives has been to decentralize the courses of the urban center and bring them closer to the districts and the seven women's associations that are constituted in the rural nuclei of our municipal district," as pointed out by the councilor who runs the area, Monica Sanchez.
The mayor has also explained that the theme of the courses responds to the needs raised by the associations themselves and are mainly related to the care of elderly and dependent people
The first planned training actions are taught by psychologists and physiotherapists of the 'Intergenerational Solidarity' association, with funding from the Regional Government's Equal Opportunities Department and with the collaboration of COAG.
The titles offered have been 'Personal Assistant', 'Gerontological Training', 'Psychoeducational Training' and 'Geronto Gymnastics' workshop.
