The mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Francisco García, and the director of the associated center of the National Distance University (UNED) in Cartagena, María Luisa Martínez, have held a meeting to address different aspects related to the university classroom based in the town.
In this sense, the head of the UNED has thanked the interest and support of the Caravaqueño Consistory to give continuity to the services and the training offer.
"The City Council of Caravaca has made the corresponding budgetary contribution to this academic year and has also covered provisionally and with its own staff the withdrawal of the UNED technician in charge of customer service, something we appreciate and that has been a great help in full registration campaign, "he said at the end of the meeting.
José Francisco García has reiterated the support to UNED, "a consolidated service that we have the privilege of providing to our neighbors, such as in the headquarters of Murcia, Lorca and Yecla, and that allows to combine work and family life with university studies, without limit of places and without being necessary the complete enrollment of the course ".
The mayor has also made reference to the important social and educational work carried out through the Uned, "since training is a key element for job creation and the development of new opportunities."
The UNED has a university offer of 28 undergraduate degrees, in addition to the masters, postgraduate and university access courses over 25 and 45 years.
It is the easiest way to continue university studies from Caravaca de la Cruz and to obtain the approval of a Baccalaureate or to access the Higher Degree Vocational Training cycles.
The registration period for degrees and access courses ends on October 25.
