The association of volunteerism and animal protection 'Econciencia' and the delegation of Caritas in Caravaca will be the charities that receive the collection of 'Las Cocinas del Jubileo'
Caravaca de la Cruz hosts this weekend the III edition of 'Las Cocinas de Jubileo', a gastronomic meeting that is part of the fixed activities carried out by the Camino de la Cruz Foundation and that this year is framed in the program of the Caravaca Fair.
On October 18, 19 and 20, the event will bring together 15 reference establishments of the Northwest region, which will be installed on the Paseo de la Corredera, where they will offer food samples and tastings of typical tapas of the area.
Workshops and children's activities are included, as well as a free concert by the band 'Bombai' and DJ Carrie Palmer, which will perform on Saturday, October 23, at 11 p.m., at the festival grounds.
The event - organized through the Regional Association for the Promotion of Hospitality and Tourism of the Northwest (Asprocomur) - has been announced at the facilities of the Queen Desserts Group, one of the patrons of the Camino de la Cruz Foundation and Sponsor of 'The Jubilee Kitchens'.
The presentation was attended by the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Francisco García;
the Minister of Tourism, Youth and Sports, Cristina Sánchez;
the president of the Reina Group, Alfonso López, and the president of Asprocomur, Pedro Marín.
The mayor has highlighted "the push that this year has been given the Caravaca Fair, joining efforts and adapting it to the new times, to value the industry, commerce, tourism and how much we have on this earth, trying a benefit for the local economy and getting a weekend for the enjoyment of caravaqueños and visitors. "
Likewise, José Francisco García has had words of thanks for the Camino de la Cruz Foundation and in particular for Desserts Reina, "a company we are very proud of and which represents both Caravaca de la Cruz and the whole of the Region of Murcia ".
For its part, the counselor said that this initiative "adds to the regional government's commitment to boost gastronomic tourism as one of the main claims within the destination offer, and as a key element in creating employment and wealth".
The City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz has proposed as recipients of the collection of the event to Caritas and the association of volunteer and animal protection 'Econciencia'.
'The Jubilee Kitchens' have the support of the Foundation's employers (Café Salzillo, Desserts and Dulces Reina, Estrella de Levante, Grupo Fuertes and Limcamar).
